About The Founder

 

Being born in India, Rev Sam's parents had made their way to Singapore during the British Occupation in the early 1940's. As the second child in the family, he was raised up with traditional Hindu values. In the early 1960's Rev Sam came to know the Lord by attending sunday school classes by Pentecostal Evangelical Church (PEC). However after some time he went astray and got involved in a secret society. 21 October 1973 was a turning point for Rev Sam as he was incarcerated and when he was placed in a prison cell, it was then that he saw a vision of a cross. The Lord Jesus had then led him to the church where he had attended sunday school classes when he was young. It was in that church that he got introduced to Sis Miriam Rasi, a missionary worker from Finland. He was faithfully attending the church and got baptised in 5 February 1977. He got aquainted with Sis Susie in the church which they attended. At that time Sis Susie's family of origin were attending the church. In 1 November 1980 both of them got married. They are graciously blessed with their two children, Esther and Stanley. Upon discerning God's calling upon his life, Rev Sam instituted a Prayer Ministry with about four people. Stemming out of this was a Prison Outreach Ministry. In 1997, Jesus Reigns Church was established as a full time ministry. In 2001, Jesus Reigns Ministries established by a group of Filipino brethren co-joined as an affiliate ministry in Singapore. In 2010, an overseas branch church and missionary ministry was instituted in Saptur, India. God has been faithfully providing and blessing him and his ministry up to this day.
